Tennis Australia has introduced Beyond Tennis powered by Infosys, a gaming application designed for tennis fans as well as Gen Z gaming enthusiasts. Within the gaming application users will be able to step into the shoes of a player’s coach or agent in turn guiding the careers of AI-powered tennis players.
A boom in technology has certainly paved the way for innovation in sport, and Beyond Tennis harnesses the technology on offer to transform traditional fan engagement into an enticing futuristic experience. Through the delivery of advanced AI technology, this app allows users to oversee the training and strategy of their players alongside having real life like social media conversations with the players.
Liam Jackson, an Australian, and Anya Shah, an Indian will represent the newly introduced Infosys Aces team.
On the Men’s side, Liam will have the company of Connor Hart (Canada), Hiroshi Sato (Japan), Lucas Durand (France), Matteo Bellini (Italy), Riko Santoso (Indonesia), Wei Liang (China) and Zion Miles(USA).
On the Women’s side, Anya will be joined by Cami Carvalho (Brazil), Maya Cruz (Philippines), Silvia Vega (Spain), Sophia Edelmann (Germany), Sorina Pavel (Romania), Thandi Mabaso (South Africa) and Victoria Chambers(England).
This gaming application will witness the world’s first AI-driven tennis league designed as an enriching digital experience for the next generation of fans. Termed as “The Slam That Never Stops,” the league will witness 16 AI-driven players spread across eight teams, and users will be able to connect with these virtual players, train them, and have them compete in AI-generated tournaments.
In collaboration with Infosys, a world leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, Tennis Australia aims to provide a compelling digital experience for the next generation of technology, and tennis fans.
Alongside being a Digital Innovation partner for Tennis Australia, Infosys will also own a team within the AI-driven league, the Infosys Aces.
Tennis Australia has also partnered with OneFutureSport, a Melbournebased company, to capitalise on its creative technology, and digital expertise. OneFutureSport will manage player profiles, social accounts, and tournaments.
The free-to-play Beyond Tennis app can be downloaded on iOS and Google Play app stores.
